Great tips. How about something similar for flying with a guitar? I’d also appreciate your thoughts on what I should do when traveling to higher (or lower) elevation. I frequently travel from near sea level to 7500 ft. Thanks!

      David,

Great suggestion thank you for mentioning that!!! In short I would say for that type of elevation change, at least detune the strings a half to a full step, and humidify as normal.

      Cheers,
      Tony

Really good advice on simple things that you don’t necessarily think of yourself. Thanks Tony.

How did Jeff submit his question? Through TAC, Facebook, email? Inquiring minds want to know.

I’m still afraid to adjust my truss rod, I’m afraid that I’ll screw something up. Lol. I’ve heard just do a 1/4 turn but not sure if I know what I’m looking at when looking down the neck and edge of fret board. Good idea asking my luthier for tips at first I thought I might upset him. Missing out on my June lessons, Catching up on my Kinder Care but will be back in a week. Enjoying Charlie Parr “Delia” on FolkAlleydotCom. I’m glad for TAC not only for learning more on guitar but opening new doors to other artists I’ve never heard of before
