At first I wasn’t sure I could trust that I was getting value for money. There are quite a few scams online and I didn’t want to spend the money if I wasn’t getting some kind of value.
On becoming a TAC member I found great songs and lessons, broken down in a way that made sense to me and a sense of community. I like seeing other people’s guitars and profiles and reading the comments from time to time. I feel like with a new approach from TAC and new kinds of exercises and songs my playing has moved forward from where I was in September, and that’s all I wanted.
I really appreciate how things are broken down AND how there’s the option to hear it slow/medium/fast–that’s brilliant! I love Tone Taxi–great idea. In general I just really like Tony’s approach to everything. There’s fun, humor and just a relaxed approach to it all that works for me. Another benefit for me is not having to go to a studio for a lesson. I have tried different lessons and teachers over the past few years, but what I love about TAC is that if there’s a week where I’m really busy I just do less guitar; in the weeks with more time I do more. There’s never the pressure of the “weekly lesson” and did I practice “enough” to make it worth going that week.
Like with many things, you’ll only get out of TAC what you put into it. Having said that, it’s a relaxed, logical, structured approached to improving your finger style playing and picking that will appeal to a wide variety of players who are looking to improve their skills.
If my enthusiasm hasn’t come through yet, I just wanted to thank the team for putting together a quality product with thought, care and humour. It shows in the lessons and the videos and it makes it a joy.
