Why I'm Here

I was inspired to pick up learning guitar after so many family members rocked around a camp fire on a recent camping trip. Learning on my own has been very fun and rewarding, but now I’m so excited to be a part of this community to take my playing to the next level and learn from Tony and his legion of wonderful followers! After learning for ~10 months on a student-model Regal acoustic dreadnought, my toddler son VOMITED all over the guitar, as I threw it down while he was choking on some waffles! Thankfully he was fine, but the guitar was covered in puke – so I used this as a sign from the guitar gods to invest in a really nice instrument (and a lesson to not serenade the toddler during meal times).

I now play a Martin D-15M Burst and love the warm tone and woody aroma!

In my opinion there is no greater hobby than music, as it's something that nobody can ever take away from you. Raising my children in a musical household is very important to me, as it was a rewarding part of my own childhood. And what is more relaxing after a hard day of work and little kids, than a cold beer and playing an acoustic guitar?!
