About Me

I received my first guitar around age 12.  My uncle passed away and I inherited his old Gibson acoustic with a high action but beautiful tone.  It inspired me to start to learn the guitar several years later.  As a teenager I focused mainly on learning cords and having my own private jam sessions/concerts in my room which thrilled me to no end.  At graduation I was gifted a Yamaha acoustic-electric which was much easier to play (especially bar chords).  This became my guitar for college during which time I made little to no progress in my ability.  Now, roughly 17 years and 3 kids later, I have decided to reconnect with the joy I felt as a teenager by continuing my study of the guitar.  To mark the occasion I have purchased an Epiphone SST studio (as close as I can get to a Gibson Chet Atkins SST without breaking the bank) and taken Tony as my instructor.  Here’s to a new year, new adventure and hopefully, a lot of fun!
