Why I'm Here

I’m an opera singer born and raised in Kansas, but fulfilling my dream here in Europe. I played the guitar and was in bands as a teenager, but like most people put it away for a while. Now at 34 I’m back at it with a passion. I sold my three average guitars in the US and bought a custom BSG guitar made in the Czech Republic. Amazing guitars. I personally met the luthier and went to his workshop. Fantastic craftsmanship and amazing sounding guitars. The model is a J 27 F. Cedar top with East Indian rosewood back and sides, curly muninga binding and rosette. My travel guitar is another Czech purchase. This time from Furch. They make a collapsing guitar called the Little Jane. This guitar rocks and is almost my favorite because I can take it anywhere. It also has a killer sound and packs up to the size of a backpack that fits under the seat in the plane. It’s Spruce and East Indian Rosewood.

who doesn't want to be awesome at guitar! Since I've been playing for a while I can play quite well, but I want to take it to the next level. I've never been one to jam with others or improvise in a group. I want to know the fretboard and chords like they are my buddies and feel comfortable jamming in any key on the fly. This is my goal. See ya when I'm 60 ;-).
