Why I'm Here

Other than listening, I really have little background in music. I’ve had a desire to learn to play guitar since I was a kid but never had the means or made the time to pursue it. Fast forward several decades, I decided it was time to stop wishing and start learning. I’ve always liked blues and so decided I was going to learn to play a Fender Strat. After a year or so of fumbling around going no where and on the advice from a friend, I got myself an acoustic guitar, Yamaha FG730 and a Hal Leonard lesson book.

Well I breezed thru the book and was hungry for something more, a lot more. While researching for a new guitar, I came across this guy on the internet who was demonstrating guitars playing the same pieces so you could make your own comparison. I think you know who I’m talking about. Well, he started to post little lessons and I was hooked!

I enjoy playing music and I have a desire to play well enough to be seen in public. Maybe venture into a workshop or take part in an open mic.
