Why I'm Here

In 1965 I was in the 5th grade and wanted to perform in a spring talent show. I had no music for the song I wanted to sing and no accompanist, so I sang acappella. I didn’t like that at all so I decided I would learn guitar and accompany myself. The next year (6th grade) I performed again but singing and playing was to much and it turned into a bit of a disaster. The following year I pulled it off flawlessly and have been playing and singing ever since.
