Why I'm Here

Hi, I am 49 years old from the UK. I have been playing guitar and piano since school. Due to work my music has taken a back seat for many years and only recently I have decided to try and bring it back to the fore. I have played in bands and also in my youth did a bit of session work and recording. I have owned many guitars over the years, but I still have in my collection a Takamine EN 20 Jumbo, USA Fender Select Stratocaster and an early 50th birthday present to myself, a wonderful Martin D28 Authentic 1941 that just sounds so so good it’s hard to put back in its case!

I would personally like to play like I was able and just sit down and enjoy the moment. I find it a great way to relax and thoroughly enjoy the new challenges. I love all kinds of guitar styles especially blues, country and folk, but I have never really ventured in to bluegrass and it is something that I would love to try and accomplish as well as getting a good fingerpicking technique back.
