Why I'm Here

Hey All,

My father had an old Harmony (which I still have) guitar and showed me a few tunes such as a simple version of Wildwood Flower. I took a few lessons from the local church from the Mel Bay guitar book. Played for a while on a very bad, extremely high action guitar and developed a very heavy hand while fretting.  I have played in front of folks and led chorus style singing. Mostly the guitar has been for me, my getaway, my friend that everyone else knows about but sees a different side of me. When I look back I see music being such an integral part. Before I could even play a guitar my friend and I would play records (45s) and hold “yard sticks” as guitars and play to Neil Diamond, Grease, Bee Gees, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, etc.. Then I would record everything off the radio until I wore the stereo out. Just recently, I have rekindled the fire to play and am ready to do just that PLAY!
