Why I'm Here

I’m in a band based in Massachusetts called The Farewells. I have two guitars – a Guild M-120 which is a nice comfortable size and sturdy and great for taking to clubs and playing at outdoor events where weather can be an issue. My other brand-new guitar is a Martin CEO -7, and I’ve fallen madly in love with it! I also play a lovely Big Muddy mandolin.

It's a bummer that my husband Peter (also in the band) has to do all the heavy lifting when it comes to guitar and solos. Plus, I bought a guitar that really demands to be played correctly, not what little I can do with it! It really has inspired me to get down to business with learning all that I can. Also, I think the flatpicking lessons will help me with my mandolin playing as well!
