Why I'm Here

I’ve been sort of playing the guitar since 1976. I started learning from a friend in Cleveland when I worked there for a year. He gave me an old classical guitar and said if I could play it I could play anything. Managed to get nice clean chords on it. Then moved to LA and bought a Lyle acoustic for about $100 in 1977. Actually still have it. I dabbled on guitar since then but have decided to get serious. So I’ve joined this site and have committed to getting good. So over time I’ve acquired a Strat and a Lucida Artista classical and now trying out a Martin M-D15. I’ve got the tools that I love playing. Now I’ve just got to get better. Update….Still have the Strat. Didn’t buy the Martin. Sold there Lucida. Bought a really cool vintage Framus Parlor Guitar.

I love playing music. I mastered the trumpet through grade school and high school. There's nothing like playing a song through, having it sound great and seeing the enjoyment people get just from listening to it.
