@LoveMyHoodie Great performance. You’ve got great fretting hand recall. You didn’t look at that hand once. I love the use of finger picks with this song. I’ve never seen anyone else do that, and it really adds a crispness to the song. Plus I’m a little envious that you have the dexterity to use them. It didn’t appear that you were nervous at all. Hope to see more posts down the road.

Thank you for the kind reply. The bluegrass fingerpick usage certainly didn’t come naturally. Jim Pankey teaches that you just have to keep using them. Your brain will eventually adapt and learn the new geometry of the fingers with picks on. I push them on real tight, so they don’t move, also with the metal tip as close to the fingertip as possible so there is not an excessive addition to finger length. Thanks again for your encouraging comments!

Very nice post @LoveMyHoodie , especially for a first post. Very smooth and clear. Freight Train was my first post as well. I was so nervous and had to take several recordings. You don’t seem nervous at all. You’re on a great path. Keep them coming.

Ah, yes! You are going to do so well here, if that is any indication! Enjoy the ride, my friend! ✌🏼
