Banks of Ohio and Freight Train
Posted by sebs on April 3, 2021 at 12:33 pmThought I’d post something, been struggling to keep up my practice the last few weeks, so wanted to give myself a push and post something.
Strings buzzing a little on the the first song, but got through them.
Hope everyone is well.

Well done! Thanks for helping keep the song vault alive. 😉 Nice tone on that guitar – an SJ 200?

Thanks Stephen, yes, still using the song vault. It is a SJ-200. Strings are dead though.

Good for you. Keep on posting often. This will push you along toward your goal. Your picking was paced, even and steady with accurate fretting and I didn’t notice buzzing as I enjoyed the tunes.

Both were done well, and the way you blended them together with such a smooth transition was impressive. Very well done!

Thanks so much all, long weekend here in the UK, so a little extra guitar time. Hope all are well!

I thought both songs sounded good, I didn’t hear any buzzing? I’m working on Freight Train myself thanks to some helpful sole that posted the internet site where the Song Vault is stored.

Very well done @sebs . I just started working on Banks of Ohio and the tempo you played makes the melody pop out for me much better than the slow learning speed. I didn’t much like the song until I heard you play it. And yes thanks for helping keep the song vault alive.
