I used ring finger on low e and pinky on a, so the chord sounded ok, the weird picking was a challenge.
One of my goals for this year is to improve my flat picking. This one really helps!
I can’t stretch that pinkie into position for the C chord. The cross picking is coming.

I like the lesson .
I like this exercise. Picked it up pretty quick, but good practice. Working on the exercise without looking at my fingers.
This lesson is fun to play, I needed it and will practice this again .
I enjoyed this one, my cross picking has really improved
He mentioned in the video this is “todays warmup.” Is there a way to access more of these warmups from the interface? I just happened to stumble upon this one through the “have more time” option at the end of a daily challenge.
good exercise
Great exercise. I think I will always have trouble muting strings on the C chord especially using a six string C but still great training for the flat pick.
Great exercise for crosspicking!
Great lesson, it gives me a reason to take up the flat pick.
I had to practice this quite a bit… in other words I really need this series. Thank you!
I cannot say how much I needed this one! Everywhere they talk about the left hand, but not much about the picking from the right hand. That’s what’s was most missing for me.
This is much easier for me to play with the continuous alternative picking method.
Wow! Quite a feat. but perhaps easier if you follow the tablature (only just). This is NOT something you can do just by ear, and only marginally better by watching.
I totally disagree. I am a visual learner so it’s much easier for me watch it and play it. Way quicker for me too
Wow, a new small win – This is the first thing I’ve played successfully at 1.5x, and without looking at the picking hand. Somehow that hand now can correctly sense where to go.
When I look at which string I am picking, I can do it so precisely and fast. But when I pick without looking, it is not precise any more. Is there any ways or tips to hit the string correctly every single time without looking? Or I will achieve that if I keep practising your exercise?
is there a tab somewhere?
found it 🙂
Hi Ferdie, I was having the same issues for the past week as well – frustrating.
For whatever reason, by switching browsers, the videos began loading again.
In my case, I’m on a mac and using Safari as my browser. By simply switching to Chrome, still on my same computer, the videos came back.
It’s not a complete solution but hope this helps…
can you tell me where to find the tab? 🙁 thanks!!
I’m having trouble with the website the last week now. The video lessons aren’t loading and playing for me. The tabs aren’t loading or responding either. This is frustrating to say the least. I understand there’s been some website upgrades and changes going on……hopefully your addressing these issues as well. Thanks
