I loved this challenge and always felt like I would get it right from the start. It took a little while and quite a lot of practice, but I feel like this is firmly embedded in my mind, and I’m looking forward to day 2.

I liked this one. Took a while to get the turn around but after that I couldn’t stop playing it

I didn’t want to do the open D lessons this week and I’m finding this pretty easy, aside from a little stumbling at the beginning. And I find the slide at the end just disappears too quickly, so I do a pull-off instead. I’m assuming we want to end it up on the open low E string? Maybe not as a turn-around, but definitely as an ending.

I don’t know about easy but after going over it fifty times I was able to play it through from beginning to end. I’m sure next time I’ll be relearning it

This worked out well for me today,because i was already exposed to this in Fretboard wizzard.I’m going to practice more so i can get up to speed.

Damn! You’re already referencing the “three chord” and th “five chord” as if I know what that means. Can you please give me some guidance on where I should go after the 30 days to play guitar? I’d really like a more clear path to getting better at guitar. Your Emil’s kept talking about making g it fun and not feeling like work but I’m really “working” to figure out the path I should be following.

Nice boogie. I found the 9th measure tough not just for the fingering but because it didn’t sound familiar like the other measures. Anyway, persevered and eventually got it.

Small win for the home team! Glad I stopped in Month Four (of playing) and started over, picking up after the 30-Day Challenge.

Nice, I just came back from 1 1/2 years of being away from TAC. I picked up at the beginning of the 12 Bar Blues 5 Day Challenge. Day 1 Boogie is a fun little groove to get into. I’m looking forward to improving and finding someone that I can play with.
Don’t forget to play with your metronome.

Need to increase tempo but my fingers are starting to work on their own. Big win.

A great exercise to get better jumping from string to string. It was fun to add a little boogie into the eighth notes. I’ll do more of that no matter the exercise.

After 60 years, om finally giving it a go. Got my guitar yesterday and its fun and challenging to “stretch the fingers”!

Sounds similar to the sound of Pride and Joy. I like it.

Fun lick to play. Followed Tony’s suggestion and learned the E, A & B and then cobbled them together.

I got this under my fingersx but I’m playing it a little differently than Tony. In the second measure I play the first two notes on the A string 5th fret and same for ther 4th measure. The B sequence in the 9th measure doesn’t work for me so I play the B (A string 2nd fret) then the D (D string open), the E flat (D string 1st fret), the F# (D string 4th fret) and the A flat (G string 1st fret). To me, this sequence sounds more bluesy than the one in the tablature.
