1.) How many days per week do you play?
I play at least 6 days per week.
2.) What time of day do you play?
That depends. If I have an early beach volleyball game, I play after I get back from the beach (in the early afternoon). If I don’t have a game, I play right after breakfast, and usually play another session in the afternoon.
3.) Where do you play?
Weather permitting, I like to play in my back yard under the shade structure….especially if there are baby doves in the nest above me watching me play.
4.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? (if possible name 3 ways).
I started playing guitar 2 years ago and I have been consistent about “Playing” nearly every day. But, I had lost my way and didn’t know how or what to “Practice”. I have been aimlessly trying to play various songs , with very little emphasis on increasing any specific skills. Progress was nearly impossible to track.
Tony’s system has helped in many ways:
– It gives me a specific new skill to try every day
– I can track progress, and get a sense of accomplishment when I complete a lesson
– I don’t have to use the (hated) metronome to work on timing, Tony’s videos help with that.
– My jam buddy is also a TAC member, so we can discuss and use the new skills
5.) Bonus Question: What is one non-guitar item that is a must have in your guitar routine?
Does a very comfortable chair with great back support count?
