1.) How many days per week do you play?

I am committing to practicing 7 days per week. I have some work and volunteer commitments going, but I still belive I can achieve 7 days per week!

2.) What time of day do you play?

For the last three weeks I have been coming home from work about 4 pm and doing the daily challenge for at least 10 minutes, then go volunteer and if I have time after I get home I put in some more time.

    3.) Where do you play?

I play in the downstairs “family room” in our house. Surrounded by my guitars and my sort of organized tabs of songs and the daily challenges.

4.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? (if possible name 3 ways).

I was scattered. Before I found TAC last year (almost my first TACaversary!), I was searching YouTube and found a couple of people that finally felt like I was making some guitar progress. 3 ways that the consistency of a routine has helped me.

A- A focus of something to practice for at least 10 minutes every day. I used to just play songs, but never focused on a lick or a chord progression like I do know. Though some of the challenges are difficult, once I get even just a little piece of it, it helps feel good that I at least got that section right.

B – It has helped me learn keys of songs, licks, chord progression. I did do Fretboard Wizard and there are so many lightbulb moments in there, and that in turn was something I did because of the guitar routine I had started.

C – The routine is a stress reliever for me. Even just 10 minutes helps my brain focused on something other than what happened at work, or worrying about what we are going to make for dinner!

Bonus Question: I don’t really have anything that I have special that I need or use, just sit down take a deep breath and practice/play!
