<b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>4.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? (if possible name 3 ways).
I had no guitar life before TAC. No routine at all. I tried to play every now and then and record some stuff but, it always became too much of a task and I just couldn’t manage. One way having a consistent guitar routine helped me is that it showed my that I can actually have fun with this guitar. Knowing that I am going to have this guitar in my hand by the end of the day helps me push on through my work. It’s the finish line, The light at the end of the tunnel. Another way is that I can now see actual progress. I record a lot of my guitar sessions with a video camera. It helps me look back and see how far I have come. Without having a consistent guitar routine I could have never pushed through the many learning curves and road blocks that used to discourage me before. Another way is that it keeps me excited about guitar. I end up talking guitar to all my friends and family. It has even inspired my some friends at work to take up the guitar and it has brought me closer to my dad and brother.
5.) Bonus Question: What is one non-guitar item that is a must have in your guitar routine?
My must have non-guitar item would be my Sony camcorder. It is what I use to video my guitar sessions. I can look back on my sessions and see real progress. Sometimes during the daily challenge I go off and end up playing somethin I was not expecting. It help me to remember that song or lick I played more by seeing it and not just hearing it.
