Pick up the Guitar, Tune It and Start the Challenge
My guitar routine goals are at least 10 minutes 5 days a week. Since joining TAC I have played every day and my minimum duration has been 60 minutes of fu
One thing I noticed when I started TAC was my tendency to get side tracked during my playing time to fiddle with some accessory, interface, etc… or my mind would drift and I would think of a song I wanted to learn and go down that rabbit hole.
As part of my TAC routine I preview the daily challenge earlier in the day. I also have a plan for what I will play or practice after the challenge. The TAC resources are great for this. Then, when I go down to the guitar room after dinner I immediately pick up the guitar, tune it and then dive into the challenge. I stick with the challenge for at least 10 minutes (most times 30ish minutes as I learn little by slowly) and then transition into phase two of my evenings plan. I always end the session with two things:
1. Flat picking practice as this is part of my 90 day goal
2. A song I know how to play – end it on a high note!
Rock on!🤘😃
