ANOTHER new discovery
I was going to title this, “in praise of rick beato” but it is even more than that. One of the huge wins of the small wins is the number and variety of folks and sites Im exposed to since coming to tac. I watch youtube daily for long periods seeing folks that are mentioned here and other places.in fact I watch it on my bigscreen much more than regular tv. I came across a guy named rick beato . I believe he owns a music store, produces, plays etc . I found in general he was way over my head in his. teaching style and theories. but then I discovered his interviews! I went on about his tommy emanuell interview yesterday, but there are several others. the strength is that he is able to. pull out of the artist their passions and reasons for writing, singing, playing etc in a way that gives me strength. I know I cant play ever as well as they do but now I can see what gives them their direction, strength and many other positive things. soooo this is a hugely long winded way of saying im taking advantage of the names that are being run past me as tony expounds on this or that player. see if you can catch their fire. I consider this an absloute homerun of small wins from being a tac member. yea team!!

@Mrfredsporty , since you take advantage of what’s on the internet, make sure you are catching all tony’s Acoustic Tuesday’s shows. He is always mentioning something that sparks my interest.

Good point cadgirl.And yes, absolutely.especially if I see a finger picker or blues player.come to think of it, a good flat picker too. My list of subscriptions due to Tony is becoming humongous,
