  The thrill of dynamics

  Was watching AT today and Tony was talking dynamics. Even though I still can’t play well, I tried it. I started playing my version of Keith Carradines “I’m Easy” trying to catch the emotion by varying my loudness depending on the verse and the feelings. The song began to come to life even with me playing it.then I tried “If you could read my mind”, “Don’t think twice” and “Polly Von”. Instead of just playing the songs I was actually capturing, in an awkward sort of way, their heart. And isn’t that really what it’s all about?thanks AGAIN to tac

  I will have to watch the Acoustic Tuesday (AT) today. But, i think you are on the right track of adding some emotion into the song by how you play it. Good job. Opening up AT right now 🙂
