Accidentally reading music (a little)
Today I was working on Billy in the the low ground using a flat pick which is still new to me and a bit awkward. Anyway as I used the tab I kept getting caught up by the quarter and half notes. Suddenly I started looking at the notes themselves and was actually reading them instead of the tab.a small win for sure. Not claiming to be a music reader but am using the notes to help my tab reading. One step at a time.

I use the tabs, but…. when you want to get the melody correct, checking those notes are a big help. The flat pick is awkward at first but you’ll get used to it.
