  Even with Tony yelling in the background

  I have had to go back to step one in 2 of the songs Im learning.Why? Cuz I didnt listen to Tony even when he was yelling in the background,”slow down!”. I got impatient and went ahead as fast as I wanted. Result: Im having to relearn 2 basic picking patterns from the start agin. As so many have noted it is much easier to take your time and do it right the first time than have to relearn it.Oh well its not that Im stubborn or anything but…..

  @Mrfredsporty , don’t worry about it. A lot of times i’ll just download the tab and figure it out by myself. After I listen to how it “SHOULD” to played. hmmm…. i have to redo it. 😉

  It’s all about learning @Mrfredsporty ! Don’t be too hard on yourself. 😎. I do a slightly different version of what @Cadgirl does. I bring up the tab and mentally and visually follow along with Tony or whoever is the instructor for the lesson. Then I take a crack at it without a metronome to get the fingering and transitions down. Then I start playing those with a metronome. Finally I go back and work along with the video to get all to sync up. I know – weird but it works for me! 🎶😎🎸🎶

    thanks , KM. The metronome is the👹devils spawn forced upon us by the man (although I should be using it)
