Humidifying my super d
Recently we had a cold snap in Daytona where we had 2 days of about 27 degrees . My 50 year old mobile home made it through although I had to run the heat 24/7. Anyway I had purchased a humidity reader. (Thank goodness!) it showed my humidity at only 20 percent! According to my local guitar shop that is a number that could even crack a valuable guitar.I keep my guitar in a case with daddario humidipaks in it.I did not open the case for a week and also purchase one of the sponge kits from ddadario which I added to the case as well a small humidity reader. Results : when I opened the case it was at about 45 percent as opposed to the 20 my trailer had been at. Moral of my lesson . Don’t take humidity or the lack Therof lightly, especially if you have a valuable guitar like my Martin super d (named Arnold cuz he is so powerful). Too long winded but hoping that it helps fellow tac folks
