Better than I imagined
40 days ago I couldn’t imagine sitting down with a guitar and playing around with a Delta Blues riff. Improvising a bit and working on technique at the same time.
But after 40 days straight of picking up and playing at least 10 min a day that’s what just happened.
The super surprising thing (to me) is that even though I’m not “doing it until I get it perfect” for each practice (often I can barely do it at all super slow by the end of the 10 min) – the little bits I am picking up are stacking together and my overall playing is improving faster than it ever has.
I’m also playing more than I ever have.
I end up picking up a guitar at least once a day. But often several times in small 10-15min play sessions.
And I’m actually starting to enjoy hearing myself play.
