Showing off my TAC routine.
Hey TAC Family!!!
I wanted to show you what my routine looks like 🙂
1.) How many days per week do you play?
I’m super excited about today! Because today marks my longest streak as a TAC family member. 8 weeks, 47 playing sessions with a 19 day streak. Happy Happy Happy I am! Never in my life would I’ve ever thought of being this far ahead in my guitar playing. Yes I am now officially a guitar player!
I play 7 days a week know. Monday through Friday I follow TAC daily challenges. Saturday and Sunday I use this time as a treat day/trouble shooting. Like working on a few favorite songs 🎵 while brushing up on my technique in skill courses. Things that I have trouble with like those dreaded bar chords! While also keeping it fun with 12 bar blues.
2.) What time of day do you play?
Monday through Friday whenever I’m home from work after dinner and ofcourse after I finish any honey do’s my wife assigned to me. LOL! Average about 30 minutes to an hour.
3.) Where do you play?
This depends, if I’m in town or out of town working. I drive a Big Rig, I’m a tanker yanker. So if I’m at home I play in my office. When I’m on the road I play in my truck while at the truck stop.
4.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? (if possible name 3 ways).
I was a dabbler back in the 90’s. I only learned 3 chords G, C, and D. Then after a year of struggling I burned 🔥 out and quit playing or should I say dabbling.
The 30 day TAC really blown me away!
1. After 30 days I was able to build a habit of playing 10 minutes or more.
2. TAC courses along with the Fretboard Wizard really helped me along my path as I was able to learn proper techniques while also learning the why, how and what for ins and outs of chords, tabs, and so on.
3. Now having an understanding of sheet music 🎼 musical alphabet, having a toolbox full of tools to grab in the skill courses really helps me to excel in high speed. This in return makes it alot of fun when you look back just 1 week and see your progress grow. That gives me the desire to push even harder.
5.) Bonus Question: What is one non-guitar item that is a must have in your guitar routine?
Coffee ofcourse. Well and Copenhagen! 😜 Sorry Tony I know that’s two but couldn’t imagine one without the other! 😛
Thank you Tony and TAC Family! I’m blessed to have stumbled across this wonderful family.
If only I would of had this back in the 90’s 🤔
I’m only 54 so no biggie I’ve got plenty more years of playing not dabbling ahead!
