I was where you were a few years ago when I started. The lessons seemed to be helping me play cords and pick out some things, but I felt like I wanted something that I could learn and play and work on so it sounded good. I initially ended up finding few songs that I liked and learned to play those. There’s tons of places to find song info on the web, but I just used Ultimate Guitar for tabs. Tons on YouTube too. Also I learned songs to sing with my grandkids. This is part of building a song repertoire in the TAC Guitar Routine that is really up to you. Learning songs adds to the overall enjoyment and gives you something to play and see how your skills are improving. Some key advice I’ve learned is to start playing them slow and increase speed as you progress. If you can’t play all the cords just skip them and add them to your practice (particularly barre cords). There are some songs to learn in tTAC under the skill courses that are easier.
