    Look Again –

    It’s everyone you’ve ever seen
    It’s everyone you’ve ever known
    it’s everyone that’s ever dreamed
    It’s everyone’s home

    It’s every hunter and forager
    It’s every hero and coward
    Every creator and destroyer
    Every king empowered

    It’s every couple in love
    It’s every mother and father
    Every hopeful child
    Every moral scholar

    It’s every corrupt politician
    It’s every star singer
    Every supreme leader
    Every saint and sinner

Look again, at this pale blue dot
That’s here, that’s us, that spot
It’s everyone, that has ever been
A mote of dust, suspended by a, sunbeam
On a tiny stage, in a cosmic show
It’s the only home, we’ve ever, known

It’s the sum of all our joy
It’s the sum of all our suffering
    Countless religions
    Ideologies and doctrines

    It’s rivers of blood spilled
    To conquer and inhabit
    To master a fraction
    Of a pixelated planet

    It’s frequent misunderstanding
    It’s to kill and dictate
    The endless cruelty
    How fervent their hate

    It’s all our posturing
    It’s delusions of being right
    Our imagined self-importance
On a pale point of light

Look again, at this pale blue dot
That’s here, that’s us, that spot
It’s everything, that has ever been
A mote of dust, suspended by a, sunbeam
A tiny stage, in a cosmic show
The only home, we’ve ever, known

    It’s our planet alone
    On a lonely speck
    Enveloped in darkness
    The vastness reflects

It’s the folly of human conceits
    It’s everything we observe
    Illuminating our duty
    To cherish and preserve

Look again, at this pale blue dot
That’s here, that’s us, that spot
