  • CAGED shapes

I’ve created these diagrams from the Fretboard Wizard course that I’m currently taking. I am a visual person and need to see the shapes so that I can understand the CAGED system. I’m having trouble with the Shapes in each chord. Can somebody take a look at the attached and let me know if I have everything right? Or where I’m off track.

    Thanks

Aloha @RobbS A LOT of work, and very cool. I, like you, am a visual kind of guy so this summarizes the nuts and bolts beautifully for me. I’ve only play through the “C” shapes tonight and will do them all tomorrow morning, but I do have a few comments that would make it easier on an old guy like me. 1 The layout is great, but could you change the labels for the two diagrams on the page for each tone to “Chord Shapes” and “Scale Shapes”? 2 I’m sure you’ve already noticed and probably corrected, the position of the high E string on the G Scale Shapes is misplaced. 3 And finally, on the C Chord sheet, the “G” scale shape is missing the 7th tone (B) – 4th fret of the “G” string. If that’s the only missed note I find I’m giving you an A++ for a Great Job. And my deep appreciation for the effort and the results.
