  Supernova

  And you can’t watch
  And you can’t conceive
  It’s hard to write about
  And harder to believe

  The cause is forgotten
  Or twisted and demeaned
  Your justification for carnage
  Is mindless and obscene

  They run to the fields
  Where snipers engage
  Try to drive away
  But they’re still in range

  The young are slaughtered
  On a killing spree
  Murdering the innocent
  Unable to flee

  Nowhere to run, Nowhere to hide
  Terrors begun, terrors arrived

  Dogmas seduction
  Cessation is over
  Self destruction
  Supernova

  What can this achieve
  But to vent your hatred
  Abducting the children
  Of those invaded

  The violence continues
  But this can’t be the way
  You’ve won nothing
  And the blameless will pay

  Nowhere to run, Nowhere to hide
  Terrors begun, terrors arrived

  Dogmas seduction
  Cessation is over
  Self destruction
  Supernova

  The virtuous will suffer
  Retaliations swift
  More death and destruction
  That was easy to predict
