DESPERADO (Eagles Clint Black )
This song has been covered by many to avoid copyright issues the Eagles have a team of lawyers I was warned about preventing covers on YouTube so after some research many are angry over what the Eagles Cars Bryan Adams songs enforcement my way around it was to call it a different name. I dont care if others get to see it just that you do. So this song is called Cow Tamer but it is Desperado tried uploading but file size is to big for TAC site.

It is interesting how Intangible Property rights have become so ingrained in the music business. The original intent to protect intangible property is noble. It was to allow an artist to enjoy the work of their hands with the intent to become public domain and enrich culture and society as a whole after an elapsed period. But then the work around of remix and renewing protection just made for trust babies, not society enrichment. End of sermon… thanks for sharing.

I just think the newer generation will forget the Eagles unless people are allowed to cover the songs think of all the artists long gone if someone didnt keep their music alive who is going to care. I practically wore my Eagles tape out music lives on when it is covered Don Henley testified that the royalties are less and less because of lack of sales 20 year olds dont even know about them and wont unless they hear it not played on any stations they listen to so us old folks play them maybe they will like it and want more they deserve to live on. Wow, you are setting a high bar Kevin! You really give me hope that
these daily 10-minutes (in reality hours, once I get going) will pay
off. I can’t imagine Dave Gilmour or Roger Waters throwing a hissy-fit
at people covering Wish You Were Here; in fact I reckon most
composers/groups would be flattered that ordinary folk make the effort to learn and play their work.-
Thanks @Roy-Phils covering someones song is a way of keeping all they did alive you must never feel bad about paying it forward someone young will hear it like it and keep it remembered it may not be the hit it once was but alive it will be.

Thanks @John_Hall my mind drifts back to the days I heard different songs then one will stand out then I look it up on the net listen to the original then dig into the chords Found on E Chords Chordify Cowboy Lyrics. Or Chordie Then play them with acoustic over and over determine the key determine the strumming pattern determine if it sounds better flat picked or finger picked or a mix of both. Then determine Electric rock or Acoustic Then talk sing it out until I have it memorized then sing it play it with full effort clean up the weak spots then record then listen to the playback make changes then improv a note solo based on my hearing it in my mind put it all together and take the leap of faith and post it almost all my songs go through this procedure. I hope In some way this helps you with your music goals.

You’re welcome Kevin. Something that occurred to me later is that musicians who whine about copyright etc probably learned to play by copying other artists of yesteryear.

Thats so true it is hard not to influenced by others music @Roy-Phils like blues for instance most have all the same roots just different words to be honest I like it all and have fun and at the end of the day thats what it is all about that and keeping my mind sharp.
