Very Timely! I just told myself an hour ago, “OK Steve, time to move on!” As a Greenhorn still “Wet behind the Ears” beginner at 67, I spent seven weeks in the 30 days to play, then 2 weeks on the 5-day Routine before reluctantly hitting the “completed” box. I go back to the Shuffle, Baseline, Boogie, and Scales for a warm up every time I sit down. I’m picking up the speed and accuracy as the days go by. I have this guitar on my lap every day for at least a couple hours, being retired and all. Tony is a good motivator.
I just spent the last week on my 1st daily challenge which, in my mind, should have been a bit further down the road for me. I give each day a good effort, a pat on my back, and a smile for the progress I’ve made. I am amazed and wish I had been playing for 40 years.
It seems most responses you read here say “Move On, you can come back later.” I’m learning to take that advice. I picked up a couple song books, hopefully by the fall I’ll be sitting round the campfire testing the vocals!
