DiscostewLA – If I Had a Boat (Lyle Lovett cover)
I’ve been working on this for a while now and happy to have a take that I feel comfortable posting. I recorded this in a new way for me where I did the video in iMovie and the Audio in Garageband and then then exported the audio from GarageBand and matched it all up iMovie. Hence – you can hear some sound effects from Garageband (some added reverb and other stuff that I was tinkering with). It was fun to get to record something and then play around with the sound afterwards. Next steps for me are to try to and do separate tracks for guitar and vocals – but I find it much easier to just do them at the same time. Hope you all are having a good week!

Now that was truly fun. Production is a whole other thing. I’ve been playing with it too (with limited success but much curiosity). The performance was quite entertaining. Did you capo up so far for voice range or for the guitar voicing? It sounded good. Thanks for sharing.
