Hello all, looking for your help. In the last challenge especially Hoochie Koo it calls for muted strings I am having a heck of a time muting strings on purpose is there any tricks that can help me? Appreciate the help

Slow practice is my only trick. Slow until the muscle memory kicks in. These rhythmic touches are a hard technique for me but once the muscle memory takes over and it becomes a part of my toolbox it is most rewarding. Sometimes I mute by releasing pressure on the strings with my fretting hand. Sometimes I try to place my pinky or ring finger across the strings. Sometimes I try palm muting with my strumming hand. Whatever technique feels easier after I experiment with it. I haven’t found a short cut.

Slow practice is always good advice. Thanks for your reminding me.
