Never Going Again (Fleetwood Mac cover) – progress videos
Posted by DiscostewLA on December 10, 2024 at 2:55 pmIn the spirit of showing some growth over time, here are two progress videos taken 3 months apart as part of my 2024 goal of learning to play and sing Never Going Back Again by Fleetwood Mac. I often feel frustrated at how many mistakes I make when playing it, but when I look back at how far I’ve come it gives me confidence and optimism to pick up my guitar again and again and again… Thanks Tony and TacFam for the inspiration and support along my guitar journey!

great job – I would love to learn this but have always been intimidated by it. Are you using a lesson to learn it ?

TMutter, if those finger positions are too hard on your fingers (like they are on mine!), here is a different way to play it. Easier, but with the same exact sound. The instructor is fairly entertaining too….

@Robert_Gresham, this is the version I just started learning a week or so ago. Still challenging for me.

Just returned to the forums after a 3 year absence, so a little rusty on navigating. Do we still use @ if we want someone to see the reply. If that is true I meant a reply to go out to @TMutter about the easier way to play this tune.
Hope you get it, Tmutter!

Very nice. I just started working on this tricky little tune last week. Albeit a little bit different tuning, however all the same notes. I’m not nearly as far along as you are. I’ve never posted a video of me playing. Maybe if I get the guts, I’ll post a version on what I’m learning. I’ve only gotten the first couple of measures or so thus far. It has been VERY challenging for me. Kudos for tackling this one.

Hey Skyman – I have been inspired by so many TAC family members and totally get the anxiety of recording and sharing. I still spend way too long trying to get a good take of a ‘practice’ video…
We’re all on our own journey. Rock on!
