  • Jimmie Rodgers style country strumming.

I really only made this video for my own progress check on a song I’m trying to learn. Then I thought what better way to keep my commitment than to announce what I’m working on. LOL!

Jimmie Rodgers is the Father of country music. He has a unique style of playing the acoustic guitar.

Just like Tony talks about when we are learning riffs, licks, chords and strumming patterns. Jimmie Rodgers is a perfect example.

Once you learn his signature intro riff/lick and his unique yodeling riffs along with his odd strumming pattern, it’s pretty much in every song he ever wrote.

Jimmie is so laid back, he makes it look easy. His unique style and strumming pattern is a booger to get! LOL!
