Open Mic Jam
Happy New Year fellow guitar geeks. Challenges abounded in 2024, but so did the music. I branched out from a blues jam where i have mostly been playing my acoustic, often unplugged, but getting in over an hour of playing time with other musicians, to an open mic at the same location. At the open mic I usually play with the house band as shown in this video, only here I bring my Epihone AlleyKat electric and play rhythm as I do on this track and also lead (not shown here). I also created an open mic playlist on my youtube channel and have other videos of myself, and would add other videos if anyone is so inclined, it just has to be an open mic type of non-professional performance for this playlist.
I also added a third open mic at a different venue and have played both acoustic, electric, and sang one song so far ( definite small win for me). For 2025, I look forward to expanding the repertoire , singing more, and maybe starting a band. Now that would be a big win.
