Used my new Donner Rising G1 this time. I’m really liking this guitar that I picked up for an amazing price. Mahogany body with a carbon top, very nicely setup straight out of the box, all I’ve done to it is tune it and it’s pretty much perfect.

This was actually my first time playing the intermediate version with the barred Em7 and Dm7. I was practicing for quite a while earlier this week with subbed chords but I wasn’t able to do the base walk with those chords. I haven’t mastered these barre chords at all yet so really this is a very rough take.

I think the new guitar sounded full. I like its sound. And good benchmark performance.

Nice! Good way to give the new guitar a ride.

Yes it was a bit of an early ride and I also just switched to attempting the barre chords, having practiced with the 2 finger B7 on fret 2 and D minor.

Love the sound of the new guitar! Nice job! Can’t wait to hear the same benchmark the next go around… 🙂 The barre chords are tough! But… you will get there.

Thanks everyone for your feedback on my new guitar as well as for your kind words. I can be real and admit that there is massive room for growth which is part of the reason I put it out there.

I have found that it def takes some courage to “put it out there”! I just have to remind myself that its all a part of the journey. The journey is the best part 🙂

Yes, there’s no reason to feel embarrassed for not being able to do something well! That’s why you are here is to learn!

Earlier on I found myself practicing for an hour before recording myself! NO! Record it early and raw right away and then in time when you can do it much better it will be that much more rewarding.

Why set the bar higher on your benchmark progress? Just set it right where you are at the moment! And maybe you try to compensate for being nervous recording yourself so you’re making even more mistakes and just trying to overcome that. Don’t worry, everybody understands!
