General Question
Good evening everyone,
I am new to TAC, I have a question regarding this site, please don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining but I would like to ask the older users, will we be learning actual songs or the daily challenges that’s all there is, perhaps I’m not looking at the right spot

@E-Z, I’m hoping others will also chime in here. TAC is a system to help you learn how to play the guitar. Not specific songs however. TAC teaches principals and techniques that can be taken into learning any song. You will find however most lessons contain many elements of a song, and there are many. Hotel California, Wonderful Tonight, Angel from Montgomery, etc, etc. I think that learning actual songs is mostly up to you. There are many websites one can go to learn free songs. Those platforms however only teach the songs, assuming one already knows the chords, techniques etc. My advice is, give the program a chance, reach out for advice, and enjoy the ride. You will see progress if you stick with it.

TAC taught me how to play all the songs. Learning songs is why we go through the prep to be able to play them. I needed years of prep before I was ready to play the songs I desired to play. TAC uses songs to train you how to play the guitar but it leaves the finger choreography to those more suited to teaching that. I spent a year trying to learn finger choreography before I joined TAC. The only thing it made me was frustrated and determined. TAC was the fix.

My understanding is that TAC teaches you fundamentally how to handle your instrument. Once you have a good foundation you will have the skills to play a thousand or maybe 10,000 songs.
As a beginner you could spend weeks or even months learning how to play ONE song and then that’s all you got. Now the next song, then another….. etc. Maybe in 6 months you can (sort of) play about 5 songs not very well.With TAC you spend an extended time to get good with your instrument, then you can learn multiple songs in a single day.
I am not speaking from experience, this is what I have gleaned from being a member. I am 8 months into my journey with TAC.

This is no longer a part of the TAC site but once upon a time Tony experimented with some songs in a vault as a subscription. When the site went a different direction he left it for learning. I like to include a song in my quarterly goals (which is coming up the end of this month). Perhaps this will be helpful.
