First recording of my progress so far. Finally got the chord progression down with the odd down strumming patterns of Jimmie Rodgers.

I need to clean up the bas lines and chord transitions but Rome wasn’t built in a day! LOL!

Whats really cool about Jimmie Rodgers is once you get one song you got about 80% of the others! LOL!

I also learned a few new chords with this song to add to my tool bag.

Thank You! Taylor GS mahogany mini. Love the size, when I’m on the road I can play in the big truck.

Thank you. I plan to visit the Taylor factory for a tour next month. Nice coincidence.

The fretwork is impressive… also reminds me of another song but can’t quite place it.

Thank you! Still working on cleaning it up. Jimmie Rodgers loved to play a lot of bas runs. Maybe the song is T for Texas??

I have a Taylor GS Koa mini. I also it’s size and sound. If you are traveling like Jimmy Rogers you need a guitar that will travel. Another good job on those bass runs.

@albert_d That’s right! I love the compact size. With the bowed out backside and large sound hole it sounds just as full as my Yamaha guitar. The only issue is, you must switch back to a larger fret scale or it really feels weird when I play my larger acoustic. So I try to share the love when I’m at home. LOL!
