Hi Community, newbie here, 2 weeks in. Never played guitar before. Loving Tony’s program, but I’m a bit stuck. My D chord i just can’t sound clean. My G chord is pretty average 50% okay hit. I have very small hands, and happy to do the work. But wondering,

    (i) do i continue with week 3 of the 30 day?, or
(ii) do i try and get these chords to sound right before continuing?

I’d love to hear from your experience when you a newbie, especially from those with small hands. Thank you. And Happy Easter to all!

    Kimberly 🙂

Your chord shapes will come with time. I wouldn’t spend time trying to “get” the D shape before moving on. Keep progressing forward. It will come, I promise. The D shape was a challenge for me as well. I just couldn’t get my middle finger to fret the high E string clearly. The D7 chord was a bit easier, and I would substitute that shape sometimes. My other challenging chord was the C chord. Good luck on your journey and keep reaching out to the group with any questions.
