Best Song Resource
Posted by Jer_Music on May 3, 2025 at 3:33 pmAnyone know the best place online to get complete songs and instruction. TAC teach this technique and skills but we’re on our own to go find songs. Most of the sites I see they show you chords and strumming but not entire songs. Anybody have a good site?

If you have a song you know you want to play, there is usually a YouTube instructional video. Guitar Tabs is a place to find songs too. And I like Lauren Bateman too.

So do you recommend TAC for the skills and then go outside the site for songs? I am a little disappointed that we learn all this stuff, but as a beginner you can’t apply it to a song on the site.

I think most that join TAC go through the same realization that this is a skills based course and not a song playing one. I see a big challenge with guitar playing is quick transitions from cord to cord. So it’s kinda hard to create a course for a complete beginner that involves learning songs when you can’t make the rapid transitions. Tony’s course instead focuses on creating a daily playing habit and learning basic skills you will need even as you work on playing clean cords quickly. Stick with it and I think you will find his system works pretty good.
Btw.., if you are completely brand new and want to play a song google “two cord horse with no name”. It’s a great song that builds your confidence in switching cords quickly. Have fun!! I also like countryguitarteacher who has lots of songs that involve 4 easy cords and as mentioned Lauren Bateman is a great source for easy songs.

Thanks! I do think this system works and love doing it everyday. Now that I know some places to look for song ideas I will check them out.
