  • Technical Help

Posted by Steve P on January 29, 2026 at 5:06 pm

Hi there. I started Tony’s Acoustic Challenge just priot=r to Christmas and things have been going well now the festive period is over. I have completed the Bon Jovial and Fly Angel Fly courses (I think that’s their names) and a couple of the add-on extra challenges and things were going well.

I have moved onto the next challenge involving the Bill Withers’ song Aint No Sunshine. Unfortunately, I seem to have a technical problem. When running the first part of the challenge, I can hear Tony’s voice explaining what he is doing and hear him playing the guitar but there is no video to watch. It’s simply a black screen. Without being able to watch the video it’s impossible to follow. Any thoughts on how to resolve this problem?

    Hi,

This is more of the Support’s domain.
I’m assuming that you are on the same computer or device, with the same browser and no important updates have been done recently.

    1) Log out the re-login
    2) Try to empty the cache of the Browser

    3) look at all the tabs on the browser. Sometimes the video tab is not where expected.
    4) If you have a second browser installed try connecting and playing video on it.
    5) Contact support. Victoria is very reactive.

It seems there has to be something on your end. I checked the entire week of 13 videos for Ain’t No Sunshine and all come up perfectly on my computer.

I have 4 browsers on my laptop. When I run into a problem with the site I always check it on all browsers. Then I’ll go to my phone, my tablet and finally to other laptops that I own or have access to. If I get the same issue on all of them I conclude it’s a server-side issue.

Thanks for checking this out on your own set-up. I tried various means of playing the video but without any success. In the end I resorted to the tried and tested .. switch off the laptop and restart. It worked!
