  1. I have a 2012 Tanglewood Discovery Deluxe Dreadnaught. It has a Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides. Rosewood fretboard and bridge. Love the voice on this guitar.

  2. Well I normally play an entry level Artist dreadnought, but am on holiday and borrowing a friends Taylor 114e – I was happy with the Artist before playing the Taylor!

  3. I am playing a new Yamaha acoustic. My husband gave it to me in August and I am sort of teaching myself how to play – Nylon strings. A professional guitar player here in LA said it was a great starter guitar – much better than than the one I started with a few months ago – it was Mexican made with a hole in the back and top. Action was terrible. LOL This is so much better.

  4. Alvarez something or other. Best acoustic I’ve had, because I pick up the electric more. Only dabbled with acoustic as it’s a different beast altogether and I’ve never really had much of a tekneek.

  5. Hey Tony

Thanks for everything so far…am loving it

I’m playing a Martin D 28 a customer of mine didn’t use so I traded it for a bit off their bill..

  6. Hi Tony,
I’m playing and Epiphone Starling EB signed by the band 54-40. It was gifted with a concert ticket I purchased at the El Mocambo on Toronto.

  7. Playing several guitars. My $40 Indonesian Yamaha F 310, an Ibanez AEWC32FM, as well as a Norman B20.
I’m 69 years old, been noodling for 40 years. Enjoying this journey to proficiency.

  8. Hey Tony, I very much appreciate you putting this 5-day course on. To be honest, when I watched the hype video of why we should pay for your course, I felt like it was like most hype videos that fill you with a lot of hope and then when you see what you paid for, you are disappointed. Having gone through these first 2 days, I am pleased with what it has offered. I am looking forward to the other 3 days.

I am a forever (40 years, off and on) beginner–just like you describe in your other video. I am hoping to find something that gets me over the hump and gets me excited to play every day.

I first started with a Guild Maderia that I bought in college. I loved that guitar but, my fault, I leaned it up against the couch and my girlfriend knocked it over while cleaning and broke the neck in half. I have had several over the years. I now have a Martin D-18. I just love its sound. I looked up the Thompson’s online and they look really nice! Quite pricey but probably worth every dime.

  9. On vacation. I take a Traveler UltraLight. I don’t love it. Very awkward. But it’s better than nothing.

  10. I’ve collected seven guitars so far 🙂 my favourite, which I play every day, is an Ibanez mahogany top acoustic which had it’s neck broken by a clumsy delivery guy. I brought her back to life with my carpentry skills, titebond and clamps and she’s lovely.

  11. I play a Fender Acoustasonic Standard Jazzmaster and a Santos Martinez SM500CE (classical). I’ve been playing classical guitar (learning myself) for about two years and I purchased the Acoustansonic a month ago to learn songs – I’ve never really used a pick before and I only know the basic chord shapes.

  12. Ok, immediately upon hearing the lesson I thought, “Pal, you’re high!” But, I tried it on .5 speed. I couldn’t tell which strings were being played open. So I went to the tabulature. Yes, this girl needs MUSIC! I continued but kept dropping my pick. I tried again, played with the video (without the pick) and voila. I did it. I still needed more repetition but was ready enough for Day 3!

  13. What guitar am I playing? I have a bonkers guitar story. As I type I’m picking thru these 5 days on my Taylor GSmini, but my every Sunday acoustic is a Cole Clark Angel 3 with a Maton Messiah 12 string showing up once in a while.
Now to learn to play to their potential!

  14. I just figured out where the link to the tab is hidden.
I’m playing an Epiphone Les Paul standard Bob Marley signature model.

  15. Cheers Tony! Playing my Fender mexi-strat through a Vox amplug and headphones while my wife sleeps. Was playing Fender T-bucket 300CE earlier. Thanks for the opportunity to sample your course.

  16. My original guitar is a Regal which I purchased around 1972 from a pawn shop for under$100.
The bridge broke last summer. I also have a Yamaha, a Seagull, a Washburn rover, and a Regal resonator slide dobro. You can never have too many guitars.

    1. I’m hanging in there through day 2, despite some tech challenges on my i-pad. Playing the trusty old cheap Yamaha, which seems fine. Haven’t received Day 3 lesson yet…
