    Hi @LMG_73

thanks for the detailed info of your gear, seems like you have already made a good start and choice.

The best for recording onto your computer would be an Audio Interface. Doesn’t need to be too pricey. Most people on TAC use Scarlett Duo or Presonus or the likes, i use Native Instrument. If you have a pickup in your guitar you can plug directly into the AI. Or you may need another mic to get the sound from your sound hole as your mic will pick up your close up vocals, but not your guitar so much, if you wanted to record both at once.

Some people also use a USB mic for recording or performing. That picks up both guitar and vocals.

So for DAW (to record your sound) Do you have Mac OS? (free GarageBand)? If you have Windows, there is a free equivalent called Bandlab https://www.bandlab.com

Or some members use Audacity, or Studio One, or Ableton Lite, they’re free.

So it really depends on what you want to use… PC or phone… and budget etc.. Also from what you’re saying, you are not looking to do pro-studio quality, so either an audio interface, or a good usb mic would be adequate. What would be your preference?

Ps. Usually midi input is for midi-keyboards or other midi devices
