Hi @Tbeats . Glad you are finding a way to become more than a dabbler. I have no experience with the tip protectors so I won’t speak to that. I do know that your fingers will toughen and callous if you stick with it. Not fun in the short run but the result keeps me playing. I find there is more to it than not having sore finger tips. It provides me better tone and the harder they get the less pressure it takes to make the string ring. I can get on and off a tone faster. If you go with the tips I would be curious to know what you think.
