So sorry for your loss. It’s understandable that you don’t feel like picking up the guitar right now. I’m pretty sure playing guitar is not one of the stages of grief. For me, I wrote songs that I sang for both my mother and father’s funerals. It was a great way for me to channel what I was feeling. Though it has been over 20-30 years, I can still play both songs even though it was a one time event. Maybe you can find a way to honor him in a similar way. I know it meant a lot to me to even be able to do it in such a short span of time, and it meant a lot to my family. If it’s not possible, just take your time and allow yourself to grieve at whatever pace you need to. We’ll be here when you’re ready to resume.
