I’ve been working on the 5 Pentatonic scale positions of CAGED in a similar way. Each day of the week matches a key Monday is C Tuesday A etc. At first I just started with the root note closest to the nut then worked through the shapes up the neck. Recently I roll a dice and start with what ever string number comes up. If it’s Monday
I’m in the key of C and if the dice comes up 3 then I find the first C note on the 3rd (G) string (5th fret) and start with that shape. I’ve found this to be a great way to learn these shapes and connections and as a bi product a better understanding of the entire fretboard 🍻
