Welcome to TAC! We all learn in our own way, of course, but for me the tabs are pretty much essential as learning aids. I can follow Tony to some extent on the video lessons, but inevitably I lose track of where I am in the lick or sequence he’s playing. I suppose I should be trying to follow the music notation, too, as it would certainly help for learning the notes on the fretboard. But for now I’m happy enough using the tabs.
