    As TerryG said; each day you do that challenge as best you can for whatever period of time you decide to practice; then move on. Each week you will be going through the 5 essential skills. The specific lessons may be different from week to week (though as she mentioned, some repeat); but the skills and techniques you are learning do repeat through the various lessons every week. You will see that in time, your skill in each area increases. You will surprise yourself.

    When I first started, the thought of doing a whole song half way decent by memory; whether chords, finger picking, or flat picking; seemed impossible. Through developing my skill in the techniques taught weekly; I am able to do so now. It builds over time with consistency and sticking with the process. I was so encouraged when I could play through the many chords of Hotel California (with bass lead ins), in a proper order, and with decent timing. It hit me that though it seemed like I was not gaining much at times day to day; it was indeed happening. Enjoy the journey, and you will see you can play.
